What you have to do is open up Device Manager and assign the drivers for Windows. It's a bit convoluted, but the core of the issue is Windows not recognizing the device type properly. I just fixed this exact problem on my Win7 Media Center 圆4. I hope anyone with similar issues can help me out, any advice is super appreciated! Seems rather unlikely and a silly way to go about things

I even tried borrowing someones g100 mouse and encoutered much the same issues.Īll I can think of is to race from booting up with just the G502 plugged in to either the FWUpdate or the manual install from the device manager and see if the install goes through when it still works. No sign of life, windows tries to install a driver, failsĭevice manager lists the G502 under 'Other devices' with a yellow triange telling me no driver is installed. I've been using a super old, 3 button, logitech back-up mouse since my G5 died. This is on a totally clean install of macOS Big Sur.So I got G502 today from an online webstore today. It actually makes it really hard to get anything done sometimes because it takes so much conscious effort and patience to click things. When I'm moving the mouse across the screen and this happens, the mouse will suddenly slow down and stop, and then JUMP 2-3 times to where it was supposed to go. I will see that it briefly disconnects from LogiOptions. The lights on the mouse will turn on as it is trying to find a device to connect to. But every 10-30 seconds, the mouse will lose connection. When I use the unifying receiver, it works overall, better. It like cuts out enough where it elongates the circle or shortens it/cuts corners slightly, etc. It's hard to make consistently-shaped circles. It's easiest to notice that the connection is wonky if I make small circular motions with the mouse. Using bluetooth, the connection is just constantly slightly jerky. Windows through Bootcamp on the same machine in the same location with the same setup, is fine.
So no matter what I do, something will work shoddily. For me, I don't have problem-free connectivity with the receiver OR bluetooth. Is this just a fundamental issue with macOS which means you should steer clear of Logitech mice for macOS? Is there a fix? If I were using windows, I would LOVE this mouse.Īt least for you it works fine fine using the dongle. Windows is fine with the receiver, all the time. This is only when using the wireless USB receiver. I can watch the lights on the mouse flash as it regains connection, and even see the connection status in LogiOptions go gray, and then light up again indicating a disconnection. It will jump across the screen and lose connection for probably 2 seconds or so. However, when I use the USB universal wireless receiver, it works noticably better smoothness and latency-wise, but every so often, probably every ten seconds or so, the mouse will lose connection and reconnect, and as a result, LAG HORRIBLY. The main solution that people say, is to use the USB Receiver instead. This, I have seen is a common issue, exclusive to macOS. When using bluetooth, the mouse is CONSTANTLY slightly jumpy. I have had some issues on and off with the mouse since I got it honestly, with my 2016 baseline MBP, way back with Mojave.
I have had AWFUL issues as of late, which seem to be the opposite of everyone else I have seen.
